Hoganasmobler FAQ

1. What is a Multimatic mechanism?

Multimatic is perfect for those who perform a variety of tasks that call for different postures. Multimatic has a feature called dual balance. When you sit upright, with good back support from the backrest, the chair has no tendency to move either forward or backward. However, if you tilt your trunk a little to lean back, the backrest automatically tilts back with you. The same when you lean forward. You shift slightly on the seat, and it tilts forward to keep you naturally balanced. The forward tilt of the seat is independent of the backrest so that the latter will not upset your balance by pushing the trunk forward.

The rocker axis is located immediately under your hip joints, which means that your body weight is evenly distributed forward and to the rear of it. It is this design feature that provides the comfortable, rhythmic and easily adjusted rocker action. The seat is articulated; it floats, meaning that it stays horizontal even when you lean back.

2. What is a Duomatic mechanism?

Duomatic is for people who do much the same kind of work all of the time, normally in an upright or slightly forward-leaning posture. The seat height and depth are regulated by a pneumatic spring.

A rubber damper balances your body weight by cushioning the forward tilt of the seat. Alternatively, you can lock the tilt in any position.

3. Optional Mouse Rest

The sliding mouse rest can move forward 10cm. It has a spring return action, but can also be locked in the forward position. The sliding mouse user arms are ideal for serious mouse work!

The swivelling mouse-user armrest is vertically adjustable and can be mounted on the right or left of the chair. Swivelling mouse user arms tilt to follow the natural curve of the forearm.

Would be fitted by the installing engineer.

4. Laptop Package

The Laptop Package incorporates a pair of special swivelling mouse user arms along with a laptop tray. The Laptray supports retract for when the tray is not being used and the arms revert to a swivelling function.

5. Fixed turntable mouse rest

The swivelling arm rests are fitted with a pull out console for the beech laminate mouse board. When the board is on the desk, the console can be pushed back into the armrest. Can be mounted on the right or left of the chair.

Would be fitted by the installing engineer.

6. Seat Adjustments

The "562 seat addition" is a larger seat pan that can be fitted to any of the range for people who are taller than most it is 510mm wide x 490mm deep. It is also able to be fitted further forward on the chair mechanism by 40mm.

This would need to be specified by the assessor and fitted by the installation engineer.
