All Risk Insurance Scheme

Microlink PC provides a free 12 month All Risk Insurance Policy with all of the computers that we supply to students.
The insurance scheme has recently been enhanced to run in conjunction with each student's warranty period, this helps ensure that they are covered for every possible eventuality, for the duration of their Higher education course.
The Policy covers accidental damage and theft of the computer equipment and peripherals as supplied, there is an £100 excess applicable to smaller claims, which have a total claim value of less than £300.
The scheme has been a success and we have received positive feedback from our students relating to the efficient way that the claims are dealt with.
Our aim is to try and deal with all claims in a prompt and simple way, to help minimise the amount of disruption being without computer equipment, can cause.

Average of 1 insurance claim per 49 machines declared to insurers.
60% of claims submitted relate to accidental damage to equipment.
The average value of a claim is £570.
The average lead time to complete a theft claim (Including supply of new equipment) is 8 days.
The average lead time to complete an accidental damage claim (Including repair or replace of damaged equipment) is 10 days.
